iPads with OLED Technology and a New Magical Keyboard
According to AppleInsider, the excitement regarding this redesign is the addition of an OLED screen. This change notably departs from the previous models' definition of the mini LED backlighting systems. These models, which go by the codenames J717, J718, J720, and J721, will reportedly be the first iPads to use OLED technology, which is renowned for its unmatched color accuracy and vibrancy. Apple is additionally believed to be redesigning the iPad Pro lineup's proportions. A 13-inch model is expected to replace the well-known 12.9-inch model, while the 11-inch model keeps its spot. Additionally, this change attempts to improve user experience and accommodate different user preferences by providing both power and portability. The Magic Keyboard, which debuted in 2020, will reportedly be updated to make the iPad Pro look more like a notebook and contain a bigger trackpad. As Gurman points out, Apple's fall event, which is expected to be more focused on the iPhone and Apple Watch, is unlikely to see a significant revamp of the iPad Pro lineup. The model predicts that it "probably won't debut" until the spring or early summer of 2024, which is in line with previous predictions. Apple still commands a 37% shipping share in the tablet industry, maintaining its dominance. However, the dwindling sales point to a need for innovation, and the updated iPad Pro versions might be the solution. Although there are many rumors, sources indicate that Apple fans may need to wait a little longer for these advances to appear. Insiders anticipate that the revamped iPad Pro series won't be officially unveiled during the fall event, where iPhones and Apple Watch are anticipated to take center stage.
