In recent years, Wear OS smartwatches have advanced significantly, and Samsung and Mobvoi have been at the forefront of this development. The
Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 and the
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 are two of the best fitness-focused Wear OS smartwatches currently on the market. Does the fact that the TicWatch Pro 5 is almost a year younger than the Galaxy Watch 5 mean that it is superior than Samsung's product? It depends, but active individuals will value the features and designs of both of these smartwatches, which are among the top smartwatches for 2023.

TicWatch Pro 5 vs. Galaxy Watch 5: A rugged design and display
Both the Galaxy Watch 5 and the TicWatch Pro 5 have tough designs that are obviously intended for those who lead active lives. They actually have a very similar appearance, but the TicWatch Pro 5 has a design that is unquestionably more robust. Both smartwatches have received durability certifications, which is a good complement.
Both are MIL-STD-810H approved, which verifies a product's resistance to roughly 30 conditions, including as shock, dust, and extreme temperatures. You may therefore be guaranteed that neither smartwatch will be damaged by external elements.

TicWatch Pro 5 vs. Galaxy Watch 5: A sturdy build and display
The display on the TicWatch Pro 5 is up to 1.43 inches larger than the one on the Galaxy Watch 5. If you prefer larger screens, this could be a nice feature of the TicWatch Pro 5, however it is the only size that is offered. On the other hand, Samsung provides two sizes for the Galaxy Watch 5. The larger size has a 1.36-inch screen, while the smaller model has a 1.19-inch panel. Choose the smaller Galaxy Watch 5 if you prefer a more compact timepiece.

In terms of water resistance, both smartwatches are comparable, although they adhere to two distinct standards. Based on water pressure, the TicWatch Pro 5 has a water resistance rating of 5 ATM. The TicWatch Pro 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 both have IP68 certification, which is roughly equivalent to water resistance. Contrary to the TicWatch Pro 5, the Galaxy Watch 5's IP68 designation also means that it is dust resistant. However, I wouldn't worry too much about minor dust causing any problems with either watch because of the military-grade durability testing.
