Nicole Kidman is giving her new endeavor her whole attention. The 55-year-old actress is now going to star in the CIA drama
Lioness, which she was originally
expected to executive produce for Paramount+, according to
Variety.
Additionally,
Lioness, based on a real CIA program, will follow young Marine Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira) as she joins the agency's Lioness Engagement Unit and makes an effort to bring down a terrorist group by making friends with one of its members' daughters. Kidman will play Kaitlyn Meade, a seasoned CIA Senior Supervisor who struggles to balance her personal and professional lives while mentoring someone who uncannily mimics her behavior.
Furthermore, Taylor Sheridan, the creator of
Yellowstone, took over for showrunner Thomas Brady after "creative differences led to the producers and Brady agreeing to part ways amicably,"
Variety previously reported. In addition,
Lioness also stars
Zoe Saldaña, Jill Wagner, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur, and Jonah Wharton.
