(Image credit- GizChina.it) According to reports, users won't be dissatisfied with Samsung's newest innovation, the Exynos 2400 processor, which is scheduled to be unveiled. Also, there are rumors that some of the models in the much-awaited Galaxy S24 lineup will be powered by this potent chipset. The Exynos 2400 may hold the key to major cost savings for Samsung's flagship family in 2024, despite not directly competing with the impending Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Dimensity 9300.

Samsung's Well-Known Approach

It's intriguing to see that Samsung seems to be going back to a tactic it used up until recently. According to the reports, the company that makes the phone typically uses the Exynos chipset in most locations, saving the Snapdragon model for the United States and China. Samsung may decide to use cost savings from the anticipated Exynos 2400 return to improve the Galaxy S24's other features, providing customers with a more alluring bundle.

Under the Hood: Exynos 2400 Specifications

According to the reports, the Exynos 2400 is anticipated to include a 10-core CPU design divided into a "1 + 2 + 3 + 4" cluster. A 3.10GHz Cortex-X4 prime core serves as the arrangement's central processing unit. It's interesting to note that an earlier rumor mentions the possibility of this core operating at a frequency of 3.20 GHz. Not yet confirmed, this might improve the chip's performance. The Exynos 2400's star component, the Xclipse 940 GPU, works in harmony with the powerful CPU. Even though the number of compute units has doubled, real-world performance may not always improve by a factor of two. With the production of the Exynos 2400, Samsung continues to place a strong emphasis on performance and efficiency. This chipset, developed by Samsung Foundry using the 4nm production node, promises advancements that may surpass those of its forerunner, the Exynos 2200.

Satellite Technology and Flexibility

As per the reports, the Exynos 2400's support for two-way satellite communication is an exciting addition to its capabilities. Users of the Galaxy S24 can take advantage of this capability, which is similar to Apple's Emergency SOS via Satellite, to ask for assistance in emergencies when conventional cellular networks are down. The Exynos 5300 5G modem's integration improves wireless connectivity as well. This modem correlates with the Snapdragon X75 in terms of networking prowess, with a maximum downlink speed of 10Gbps and an uplink speed of 3.87Gbps.
