How to upload a YouTube short?

  • If you haven't already, launch the YouTube app on your smartphone and log in.

  • The second step is to click the plus symbol icon at the bottom of your screen.
  • If you're using the app to record your video, choose Create a Short from the menu that appears.
  • If you're uploading an existing video, choose Upload a video and then the video you wish to upload from the list that appears. If necessary, edit your video before choosing Next. Select Next after adding any optional elements like text and filters. On the following screen, complete the necessary fields, pick your options, and then click Upload Short.
  • Go to step four if you choose to Create a Short. If you haven't previously, you must provide access to your phone's camera and microphone.
  • A screen for recording videos should appear. Either a maximum of 15 seconds or 60 seconds can be recorded. By choosing the 15s or 60s symbol in the top right corner, you can switch between these video duration options. Select the large red circle Record button to begin recording when you're ready. To halt recording, tap the red square Stop button. On the right side of the screen, this screen additionally provides a few basic editing choices. To view all of the editing options and their titles, use the Down arrow symbol on the right side of the screen. Trimming, retouching, applying filters, and adding a green screen effect are some of the options available.
  • Click the white Check mark symbol once you've finished recording and editing. After that, you'll be brought to another screen where a preview of the entire video will be seen. You can also add sound clips, text, and filters using this panel. Select Next when you're finished with this screen.
  • On the Add details box, you must enter a caption for your video, choose your video's visibility setting, specify whether or not it is intended for children, and decide how you want to handle comments for this particular video.
When you're finished, click Upload Short to upload your Short to YouTube.
